At our school, we have high aspirations for our pupils and want to give them the very best start in life and that means being in school, and on time, every day. Every day a child misses school, they’re missing valuable learning and social interactions with their friends. We are committed to ensuring that every child accesses the 32.5 hours a week schooling that pupils should receive by law.

We have an Attendance and Welfare advisor, who works for the Tower Hamlets Behaviour and Attendance Service to help us make improvements to our school attendance. They will be monitoring our attendance weekly and working with us to support families who are finding our target of 97% attendance a challenge.

In partnership with Tower Hamlets Local Authority (LA), this school will be implementing the Penalty Notice Scheme as required under statutory guidance issued by the Department for Education (DfE 2013) in order to improve attendance and punctuality.
